Sheep.

Connectors in development.

New connections between the flock from which photographs will be made and which will result in installations. The sheep will be put in a another context and become new concepts, no longer as single sculptures. New relationships will be laid between photos and spatial works.
We have used sheep for our living and sheep have helped us so we could become nomads and survive as a kind. Through history sheep are a thread. My expression of this is spinning dreadlocks. A lot of handicraft is required to create a sheep. I find this process essential as sheep give us warmth though clothing, tents, blankets etc. I knitted my first sweater of beautiful dark green wool when I was eleven. My 90 year old mother knitted a big woolen shawl for me which we designed together. So sheep and humans are bound together and related. In a religious context, the sheep serves as a symbol for suffering, innocence, giving and good.
The relationship with humans is expressed by using baroque pieces of furniture as devices and structure. People think they can sit on them but this furniture has different dimensions than functional furniture. Sitting on them is very uncomfortable. Why sit on art?
